Boutique Resort near Liquid Light Glass

Here at La Posada de Santa Fe Resort & Spa, we’re well known as the Art Hotel of Santa Fe: a tag we strive to live up to each and every day, thanks to the amazing works on display in The Gallery Collection on our grounds, curated by the one and only Sara Eyestone.

But we don’t simply surround our guests with amazing paintings and sculptures by established American artists here at our luxury resort: We also put you in striking distance of a fabulous array of art galleries and studios, including one of the foremost showcases for amazing glasswork in the spectacularly artsy capital of New Mexico: Liquid Light Glass!

Introducing Liquid Light Glass

Located at 926 Baca Street, Ste. 3, Liquid Light Glass is just minutes from our lavish resort—and a fantastic destination for any and all fine-art appreciators. Founded in 1986 by noted glass artist Elodie Holmes, Liquid Light Glass serves as a fabulous working glass studio and gallery for a fine cadre of glassblowers and makers. You can take a look at the glassworks currently for sale at Liquid Light Glass right here: Perhaps a truly one-of-a-kind Santa Fe keepsake is in your future!

Beyond marveling (and maybe buying) some exquisite pieces of artwork, one of the joys of a visit to Liquid Light Glass is the chance to see glass artists in the thick of their entrancing work: always an inspiring spectacle.

Art Classes at Liquid Light Glass

There’s more to the Liquid Light Glass experience, too: You can take classes here to learn the basics of glass artistry for yourself!

Three different sessions are offered at the studio. The Glass Paperweight Class shows you the ropes of making an extra-special paperweight, the finished version of which you’ll either be able to pick up one or two days following the class or have shipped back home. Then there’s the Glass Cup Class, which’ll result in your very own handmade drinking glass. Finally, the Glass Experience Class gives you one-on-one instruction in making paperweights, blown-glass cups, and flowers; you can take an individual hour long class or join with somebody else for a 1.5-hour one.
