The Santa Fe Wine & Chile Fiesta
Some truly fabulous chefs, winemakers, sommeliers, and restaurateurs are part of the Santa Fe Wine & Chile Fiesta, which celebrates the caliber and variety of modern New Mexican cookery as well as the gift of the grape. Some 90 wineries from across the country collaborate with 75 top Santa Fe restaurants during the week, which comes defined by wine tastings and seminars, cooking demonstrations, and an all-around gourmet good time.
We’re proud to be a part of the culinary extravaganza, as Julia, A Spirited Restaurant & Bar—our flagship La Posada de Santa Fe Resort & Spa restaurant, helmed by Executive Chef Tom Kerpon—is among the spotlighted eateries for the Fiesta. Julia will host one of the event’s winery dinners on Thursday, September 26th, which’ll pair our La Posada cuisine with some fabulous Elk Cove wines.
The busy schedule culminates in the Grand Tasting on Saturday, September 28th from 1 to 4 PM at the Santa Fe Opera, which sees the festival’s participating wineries and restaurants offering signature wines and dishes for sampling.

Among the big names appearing at this year’s Fiesta are such Santa Fe chefs as Allison Jenkins, Eduardo Rodriguez, and Nathan Mayes, plus visiting chefs such as Kevin Nashan, Peter Barlow, Laura Welin, and Richard Chamberlin. Featured sommeliers will include Valerie Masten, William Davis, and Lindsey Geddes.
