The festivities begin in this historic heart of the New Mexico capital at 9 PM, perfumed with the iconically Southwestern fragrance of bonfires fueled by piñon pine. The band Sierra and Alex Maryol will conjure the live soundtrack from the New Mexico Bandstand, while the Kiwanis Club of Santa Fe will be serving up hot chocolate and some delicious bizcochitos, the official state cookie of New Mexico. A variety of food trucks, meanwhile, will be on hand as well.
The Santa Fe Plaza marks the stroke of midnight with fireworks crowned by a Zia image—plus some hearty singalongs of Auld Lang Syne and Las Mañanitas. In short, a good time is guaranteed for all!
