Resort near Santa Fe Farmer’s Market

Get an amazing taste (literally!) for the agricultural bounty of northern New Mexico during your luxury getaway to La Posada de Santa Fe, where you’ll find yourself just minutes from the year-round magic of the Santa Fe Farmers’ Market!

Introducing the Santa Fe Farmers’ Market

Among the oldest and biggest growers’ markets in the U.S., the Santa Fe Farmers’ Market is also among the relatively few major markets at which all of the products up for sale were grown or made by the folks selling them. All the produce and nursery starts sold here hail from northern New Mexico, as do the majority of the ingredients and materials used in the processed foods and craft products on offer. Local’s not just a buzzword here, in other words: It’s the name of the game.

From farm-fresh fruits and veggies to meat, dairy, flowers, and herbs, the varied spread at the Santa Fe Farmers’ Market shows off just how diverse our high-desert foodshed is here in northern New Mexico. Sample that diversity and enjoy the seasonal kaleidoscope of ripeness and peak flavor with a visit during your stay with us here at La Posada de Santa Fe.

Visiting the Santa Fe Farmers’ Market

The Santa Fe Farmers’ Market goes down in the Railyard at 1607 Paseo de Peralta, just a little more than a mile from our lavish resort. The market convenes on Saturdays throughout the year: from 8 AM to 1 PM between October and May, and from 7 AM to 1 PM from June through September.

There’s also a Tuesday market that begins in May and runs through November on the same hours as the Saturday edition, and a Wednesday afternoon market (3 to 6 PM) that kicks off in July and lasts through September. The SFFM Tuesday Del Sur, meanwhile, goes down from 3 to 6 PM at the Presbyterian Medical Center.

You can get a sense for what’s in season at the Santa Fe Farmers’ Market right here—the spring bounty right now includes kale, lettuce, mustard greens, arugula, garlic, sprouts, and much more—and survey a full list of vendors here.
